Oconto Falls Municipal Utilities sent two men and a bucket truck to Florida to assist in the restoration efforts after Hurricane Irma.
Justin Beaman (left) and John Salscheider (right) left for Kissimmee, FL on September 8, 2017. The linemen started their restoration efforts in Kissimmee, FL and have since been sent to Miami to help restore that area's power. The linemen were accompanied by 15 other municipal electric utilities throughout Wisconsin in a joint effort with Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin. All costs for this trip will be covered by the hosting utility and this will serve as excellent training for the linemen.
