Utility Accounting Clerk

Oconto Falls Municipal Utilities is seeking a Utility Accounting Clerk to assist with the daily financial, accounting, billing, and customer service operations of the electric, water, and wastewater utilities. This position is responsible for payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, utility billing support, financial record maintenance, and assisting with regulatory and reporting requirements. The Utility Accounting Clerk is expected to help maintain accurate financial records while providing excellent customer service to utility customers and supporting efficient utility office operations.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, working computer knowledge, and strong oral and written communication skills. It is preferred that the candidate has an associate degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field and/or prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, utility billing, or office administration. Experience with accounting software, payroll systems, Microsoft Office applications, and customer service is preferred.

Starting wage is $25.00-$29.95 per hour depending on qualifications. Oconto Falls Municipal Utilities offers an excellent benefits package.
